On October 2 and 3, the Bar Association of the Fifth Federal Circuit with Louisiana State University Law School will host the 2017 Annual Appellate Advocacy Seminar in New Orleans. Cost is $150 for 10.25 hours of Continuing Legal Education, including both an hour of Professionalism and an hour of Ethics.
This seminar is an ideal introduction into federal appellate practice, with specifics about Fifth Circuit procedures.
We are pleased to be co-sponsoring the program with LSU Law School. The LSU Law School writing professors will conduct a two-hour writing workshop. Jeffery Brooks, Director of Advocacy and Professional Practice at LSU will be our Ethics Speaker.
We are honored to have Circuit Judges, Eugene Davis, Edward Prado and Gregg Costa share their insights on you can better prepare your brief and oral argument.
We also welcome David Coale, Timothy Crooks, Jeffrey Green, Derek Ho, Torrence Lewis, Aaron Streett and Walter Woodruff, all seasoned practitioners, who will impart their experiences on effective appellate practice. Observe actual oral arguments and get important information from the Clerk’s Office.
